Transportation for Cancer Patients

Cancer Transportation Fund has been established to provide transportation for Horry County Residents currently undergoing prescribed cancer treatment. Those individuals who have no means to provide their own transportation or do not have assistance from family or friends are invited to make application. This program is fully supported by charitable contributions to the Conway Medical Center Foundation. |

Mammography Initiative
|
 Conway Medical Center Foundation has developed a Mammography Initiative program to assist disadvantaged women in our geographic area who cannot financially obtain necessary health screenings such as mammograms and other clinical breast examinations in an effort to enhance their quality of life. The goal is to improve our women's health initiative by allowing them the opportunity to detect early signs of breast cancer or other diseases.

Backpack Buddies
|
 This nutrition program for disavantaged school-aged children in Horry County ensures children have good nutrition on weekends when school is in session and during the summer months.
In January 2007 Backpack Buddies transitioned to this area of Horry County with 50 children in one week. This has now grown to more than 125 children. |
